What's the Point of E-Vouchers If You Can't Redeem Them?

Today I went to redeem a 10,000 e-gift voucher at FOA, One Galle Face. However, I was informed they couldn’t accept it because they didn’t have a functioning device to scan it. They said their “phone” was malfunctioning but I have no idea what device they were actually referring to, as they just vaguely said “phone.”Someone (probably from the technical team) had taken it away to fix the issue. They had no idea when it would be back or how to proceed in the meantime.

This is completely unacceptable. If you don’t have the basic infrastructure to support a simple e-voucher system, then you shouldn’t be issuing them in the first place. Might as well go back to the Stone Age.
